VasCuring®

VASCURING AB is developing a medical concept for vascular surgery, VasCuring^®. Advantages such as shorter operation time per patient and lowered incidence of re-surgery due to complications, as compared to conventional techniques, enable dramatic cost savings and entails increased patient comfort. Due to the ease of use less experienced surgeons are required which enables secure anastomosis to be performed in new environments and by less experienced personnel. Implantable products can be developed within several fields, such as transplantation, trauma and cardiovascular surgery.

VASCURINGs patented technology for facilitated and rapid connection of blood vessels have been evaluated in preclinical and biophysical tests performed in collaboration with Karolinska Institute (KI) and Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) with impressing results. Further preclinical studies are now being performed with the aim of introducing the technology in man.
