VasCuring® patent granted in Japan

The patent application for VasCuring® in Japan has finally been granted. This enables access to one of the largest medical device markets world-wide.

   

VasCuring® granted Eurostars funding of SEK 5,4 m

VasCuring® has been granted SEK 5,4 m sek in funding for a Eurostars project where SEK 3,6 m is solely for VASCURING. The funding is supposed to be used for modifications of the existing prototype as well as pre-clinical and clinical studies. Participating partners in the project are Sigolis (Product Development), Ensinger (Production) and Karolinska Institute (Validation). The project will last 29 months starting from 1 December 2011.

   

New CEO recruited to Vascuring

Erik Björkegren has been recruited as new CEO for Vascuring. Erik holds double master degrees in Industrial Engineering and Finance from Lund University. He has experience from several industries including risk management, private banking and loyalty and has also engaged in a number of start-ups in Sweden and China. In 2010, Erik was awarded Swedish champion in Business Intelligence as head of the winning team. Apart from business he has also engaged in the Swedish Armed Forces, where he was rewarded for his involvement as a squad leader.

Erik will bring new muscles and energy as well as business knowledge and a network to take the company forward in the business sphere.
